Jeff McNeil Named MLB’s Second Best Second Baseman

According to MLB Network’s “The Shredder”, Jeff McNeil is the second best second baseman in the majors right now. McNeil only trails D.J. LeMahieu in that department making the Mets and Yankees first and second, for the second time in these rankings.

McNeil has had the highest batting average amongst MLB players since 2018 (.318) and had 23 homeruns to boot in 2019. Earlier this offseason I wrote an article about the hitting ability from the 28 year old.

Good to see McNeil getting the recognition he deserves. McNeil has been an important part of the Mets offense and hopefully that will continue in the near future.

Congrats to the Squirrel!
