The Mets had a pretty big Wednesday, so let’s jump into the first edition of “The Daily Fix” and recap what happened…
First they promoted Zack Scott the GM position. While some felt this could be an opening to get Billy Owens back in the mix, the Mets stayed in-house with Scott.
Scott would later make his first moves as the New York Mets’ GM just a few hours later.
The team first acquired FA LHP Aaron Loup.
They would later send Long Island, New York native Steven Matz up north to the Toronto Blue Jays. In return the Mets would receive $5.2M in salary relief as well as a few players.
In possibly related news, the good guys over at MMO wrote a piece on the Angels potentially be out of the hunt for Bauer.
