MetsJunkies Predictions: Francisco Lindor

The Mets have their star shortstop in Frankie “Mr. Smile” Lindor. How would the 27 year old fare in his first year in Queens? Let’s predict.

Corne Hogeveen

I love Frankie Lindor. The Smile, the great defense, the personality and him being a true 5 tool player. Predicting stats is mostly based on offense, but his overall game is so good, that his offensive prediction doesn’t justify how good Lindor is. However, we are still going to predict.

I expect Lindor to thrive in Queens. Our good friend Frank from the YouTube channel Frank about Sports predicted Lindor to hit 40 bombs. I do believe he will be great, but don’t see 40 homers. I expect his overall numbers will be beter than his career norm. His RBIs will be higher because I have him slotted behind Nimmo and McNeil, who get on base.

.284/.358/.506 with 35 homeruns and 107 RBI’s

Gem Tablak:

Lindor is a spark plug that’ll definitely bat towards the top of this New York Mets lineup, however will he be leading off? Will he be slotted in the 2-hole? Or will the Mets try to get as much production out of him in the 3-spot? These are important things to consider going forward.

With Lindor switching leagues as well as City’s, I think there might be a bit of an adjustment period during this 2021 campaign. I love where other projections have him but I have him doing slightly less… at least when it comes to the “sexier” stats.

.277/.342/.506 with 28 Home Runs and 89 RBI’s. While 28 home runs isn’t too shabby, I expect Lindor to split the gaps and hit over 45 doubles.

Del Alba:

Lindor is the piece the Mets needed to solidifying their offense. He brings speed and power combo and will be a major defensive upgrade. He’s the type of player that has the energy that can start rallys and encourage other team mates to do well. The superstar SS should have a solid year with this amazing Mets offense.

.280/.350/.500 30 HR and 105 RBI and ill add 100 Runs with 20 SB.
