This should come as no surprise, Brad Brach exercised his $2.7M dollar player option, according to Tim Healey.

Brach had a terrible 2020, after battling Covid. In just 12.1 innings he pitched to a 5.85 ERA and 6.68 WHIP. His walks were a main issue as he walked 10.2 per nine, same as his K/9.
Still, I wouldn’t write off Brach after the season he had. Battling Covid and not finding the zone, after his return, is judgeable. Although his symptoms were mild, according to Brach himself. He wasn’t able to prepare normally without a ST. With a somewhat normal off-season and him getting back to strenght, I could see 2019 (Mets) Brach to return, him dominating RH batters with his use of his cutter.
