Michael Conforto was a solid contributor to this needy Mets team. Here’s a look at what to expect from the budding Mets superstar in 2021.
2021 should be the year Conforto breaks out offensively. He’s put up several solid and underrated years, he has what it takes to be a league leader and be a team MVP for the Mets, who look to extend him once Steve Cohen takes over control.
In 2019, Conforto hit 33 home runs and drove in 92. In the shortened 2020 season, Conforto hit 9 home runs and drove in 31, arguably being the team MVP before an injury ended his season in the last week of play.
Conforto is an underrated athlete and should hit 39 home runs, 100 batted in and a .286 batting average in 2021. It is time for a due Conforto to break out after a nice contract extension.
