Prospects Francisco Alvarez and Matthew Allan have been added to the 60-man player pool. Alvarez, a catcher, is ranked as the second best prospect in the organization.

The then 17 year old catcher hit .312/.407/.510 with 10 doubles, 7 home runs, 32 RBI’s and earned 21 base on balls in 42 games in the minors during the 2019 campaign.

The Mets gave him franchise record $2.7 IFA bonus in 2018.

Right handed pitcher Matthew Allan is ranked seventh on the same prospect list. They will both be reporting to the Brooklyn training facility and beginning working out.
