The New York Mets ace was asked by the media if he would view another Cy Young award the same as his previous two.

While a 60-game season is well short of a full season, another Cy Young award on deGrom’s resumé would fit perfectly. I think that long-term contract is working out pretty well now.
Overall, deGrom is 66-49 with an ERA of 2.62 and is possibly heading into territory that would put him amongst legends of the game.
