Anthony DiComo of Mets.com is reporting that there isn’t a ton of optimism surrounding utility man Jed Lowrie. Rojas told the media on the first day of workouts that he’ll be keeping close tabs with the Mets’ performance staff.
As of now, there’s no telling when Lowrie will hit the field however it’s likely that it will take the veteran a good amount of time to get himself game ready.
Lowrie signed a two-year deal with the Mets prior to the 2019 season for $20M and has seven at bats with the Orange and Blue.
