Mets ink veteran reliever

The New York Mets have come to terms with another free agent reliever in the form of Jared Hughes. The right handers contract is worth roughly $260k throughout the 60-game season.

The soon to be 35-year old righty was on the roster of the Houston Astros before opting out of his contract in March.

In 9 seasons of work, Hughes owns an amazing ERA sitting at 2.88 and a 1.22 WHIP over the span of 519 innings pitched.
