Conforto heads to NYC after “tweaking side”

New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto took a trip bam my up to New York after injuring his side while making a catch this past weekend.

General Manager Brodie Van Wagenen told reporters “Michael tweaked his side catching a fly ball in the wind during a game a couple of days ago… We will provide updates when we have more information.” the sophomore GM added.

The Oregon native initially got an MRI in Florida however the coaching staff and front office thought it would be best if Conforto received a more extensive exam back in New York.

If Conforto ends up missing a substantial amount of time, the Mets may hasten the process of the return of Yoenis Cespedes.

However for now, we just need to keep our fingers crossed because Conforto has all the makings of being a powerhouse with a great eye in a stacked lineup.
