The Mets have decided to not renew the contract of Brooklyn Cyclones manager and long time former New York Mets infielder Edgardo Alfonzo. The news comes as a shock, especially since Edgardo Alfonzo just lead the Cyclones to a championship this last campaign.

According to Mike Puma, Alfonzo was told that the “new regime” wants to bring in new people.

Alfonzo will remain in the organization as club ambassador.

I can’t say that I like or understand this move.
