While the New York Mets eliminated from the playoffs, we still have a few game left and why not enjoy the time we have left together. The Mets have several bright spots on this roster and it may all begin with the team’s ace, Jacob deGrom.
Tonight, deGrom most probably made his last start of the season and was once again, simply spectacular. Fans of all of baseball are watching two of the greatest baseball players in the world continuously dominate, one of them being Jacob deGrom and the other being Mike Trout of the Anaheim Angels.
deGrom’s final line against the Miami Marlins is what you’d expect from both Jacob as well as the Marlins. The native Floridian pitched seven scoreless innings while giving up just two hits, deGrom has now pitched 22 straight scoreless innings and is in line for his 11th victory while he’s lowered his ERA to 2.43 on the 2019 campaign.
The Mets are currently leading the Marlins 10-0.
