After a huge win over the Los Angeles Dodgers, reporters gathered around Rajai Davis’ locker to ask him a couple of questions. Here’s what the veteran outfielder had to say after coming up with the clutch game winning double in the bottom half of the eighth inning.

When asked how big of a hit the double was for him being his opportunities are so few and far in between, the speedy outfielder replied “It’s huge, it means maybe I’ll get more opportunities. But I’m just happy to help us win today.”

Davis has come up clutch before for the Mets earlier on in the season and it’s imperative that the team uses him in situations where a veteran at bat and raw speed is needed. If all goes perfectly, he’ll be taking an Uber ride to all of our hearts, but again, it needs to go perfectly.
