The top of the lineup can really hit

New York Mets shortstop Amed Rosario so far has collected 35 hits in the month of August, which is the most in his career. The only other Met to do that within the last five years is Jeff McNeil.

McNeil has 35-plus hits in three different months.

Rosario is now batting .289/.326/.442/.769 with 12 home runs, 55 RBI’s, along with 15 stolen bases. In his last 15 games, the shortstop is hitting .352/.378/.451 collecting 25 hits in 71 at-bats.

The top of the lineup can rake.
