Due to the severity of Jeff McNeil’s hamstring injury, the Mets will place the utility man on the 10-Day Injured List. New York will send Ruben Tejada to Atlanta to join the team as corresponding move due to injury. Tejada will likely see playing time against lefties as well as back up Rosario at shortstop.

Tejada is hitting .337/.412/.486/.898 with 21 doubles, one triple, six home runs, 53 runs scored and 39 runs batted in.
