Per Jon Heyman, Matt Harvey and the Oakland Athletics have agreed to a Minor League deal.
The former ace spent parts of six season with the Mets and owns a 34-37 record in 109 games, striking out 612 batters in 639.1 innings pitched. He was designated for assignment in 2018 and was eventually traded for catcher Devn Mesoraco.
Harvey has had some tremendous highs since then however it seems like he’s at his rock bottom right now as the Angels had recently released him. However, it’s not surprising that Oakland Athletics were interested in the formerly known “Dark Knight”.
