Injury Update: Brandon Nimmo

Brandon Nimmo is expected to begin his rehab assignment in roughly seven to ten days after suffering a bulging cervical disc.

He’ll likely be assigned to Syracuse and I imagine if all goes well and he stays healthy till the end of the Triple-A season, he’ll be joining the September call ups. However, the front office may decide to play it safe and shut him down until the 2020 season.

In 2018, his age 25 season, Nimmo hit .263/.404/.483/.886 with a 148 OPS+ in 433 at-bats. The outfielder also hit 28 doubles, eight triples, 17 home runs with 77 runs scored and 47 runs driven in.

Unfortunately in 43 games this year, the Wyoming native is hitting .200/.344/.323/.677 with seven doubles, three home runs, 20 runs scored and 14 runs driven in in 130 at-bats and 43 games.
