The Polar Bear Pete Alonso was asked about his on-field post game celebration after Michael Conforto won the game with an R.B.I. hit over Adam Eaton’s head in right field.

The rookie sensation had this to say to reporters after the game, “I didn’t know what to do so I just ripped his jersey off.”

Alonso also hit his 38th home run of the 2019 campaign right before J.D. Davis would follow with one of his own.
