Zack Wheeler will remain with the Mets

As far as we can tell, Zack Wheeler is still with the New York Mets and will remain with the team for the rest of the season. This gives the Mets the best rotation in all of baseball right now.

Now it is possible that a deal has been made, however it just may have not made it out to the media yet. So, we must patiently wait another hour or so and see what the actual fallout is.

Wheeler owns a 7-6 record and a 4.71 ERA with a 1.27 WHIP while striking out 137 in 124.1 innings pitched.

His career record with the Mets is 40-36 while pitching to a 3.89 ERA in 115 games. The Mets originally acquired Wheeler on July 28th of the 2011 season for potential future Hall of Fame’r Carlos Beltran.
