Second round draft pick and Bellaire, Texas native Josh Wolf made his debut with the Mets organization in the Gulf Coast League.
The 18-year old right handed pitcher went 1 inning, giving up a hit while striking out two batters. Yes, yes, I know it’s just a single game however, it’s a good start to his professional career.
Wolf is a three-pitch pitcher that throws an above average fastball and curveball, his change-up could use work however that’s to be expected at his age and level. I’m sure the Mets would like to see Wolf as a late-inning reliever in the long scheme of things.
