Former New York Mets utility man T.J. Rivera joined a bunch of other former Mets with the Independent League’s Long Island Ducks.
Rivera appeared in his first game for the Long Island Ducks on Saturday and went 3-4 with two doubles and an RBI. It’s safe to say that once rehabilitated, Rivera will likely become the best hitter of the Independent League.
Rivera last appeared for the Mets in 2017 where he hit .290 in 214 at-bats.
