Alonso wins another award

Again, Pete Alonso was crowned the Rookie of the Month award winner. Alonso hit .307/.435/.653 with nine homers, eight doubles and 21 RBIs in 28 games.

Alonso also won the award in the month of April.

The last Mets player to win the award twice in the same year was Jacob deGrom in 2014.
