New York Mets first round pick Brett Baty has been promoted from the Gulf Coast League after playing just five games at that level. Baty will report to Rookie level Kingsport and try to pick up where he left off.

Baty, only 19, hit .350/.480/.650 with three doubles, one home run in 20 at-bats in his short stint in the Gulf Coast League.

Scouts say that Baty already has an advanced skill-set at the dish so we may see the 3rd baseman move up another level before the end of the 2019 campaign.
