Sunday Night Pitching Matchup: Braves vs Mets

There’s no question about it, Noah Syndergaard needs to end this horrid run the Mets are on and it needs to be done with urgency. There’s no more waiting, there’s definitely not much more time barring any extreme winning streak or a couple of extreme losing streaks.

The Texas born right hander will face off against the Braves and is eager for a return to the big league roster and pitch for the first time since June 16th, and rightfully so. Syndergaard is 5-4 while pitching to a 4.55 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 93 strikeouts in 95 innings pitched.

Max Fried is no slouch on the mound. The left handed pitcher is 9-3 with a 3.96 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 84 strikeouts in 88.2 innings pitched. In his last 7 games, he has a 5.40 ERA, so he’s been hittable as of recent.
