Thursday Afternoon Players of the Game

The Mets came from behind with a big two-run blast in the top of the 9th, but Edwin Diaz would go on to give up 5 runs in his appearance in the bottom half, one which lasted 0.1 inning.

Offensive Player of the Game

Todd Frazier hit a huge come from behind two-run home run in the top of the 9th the put the Mets up on the scoreboard as well as give them the lead.

Pitchers of the Game

Zack Wheeler had to work pretty hard and throw a lot of pitches but pitched a good game, going 6 innings while giving up an earned run on two hits and striking out seven. He threw 107 pitches, 72 of which were strikes.

Chris Flexen has been looking pretty good out of the bullpen and he continued on with the trend today. He pitched a no hit inning in which he struck one out and lowered his ERA to 5.68
