Update: The Mets have announced Wilmer Font as tonight’s starting pitcher against the Washington Nationals.
Font allowed five runs in 2.1 IP last time out, in Washington. Font is 1-1 with a 7.08 ERA going into his third start of the season.
I expect Drew Gagnon to see at least a couple of innings on the mound, anyway.

While it’s yet to be officially announced, the Mets plan to send righty Drew Gagnon to the mound in today’s bout against the Nationals. Gagnon is 1-0 in six games, owning a 4.09 ERA, 1.09 WHIP with 9 strikeouts in 11 innings pitched.
Expect the Callaway and the Mets to use Gagnon as a piggyback starter, as he did with Wilmer Font and even lefty veteran Jason Vargas.
The Nationals will send Patrick Corbin to the bump, Corbin is 1-0 with a 2.70ERA, 24 strikeouts against the Mets this season. I’m 2019, Corbin is 4-1 with a 2.91 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 69 strikeouts over 9 starts and 58.2 innings pitched.
