Luis Carpio showing promise in the FSL

The St. Lucie Mets also played a day game today against the Florida Fire Dogs and 2nd base prospect Luis Carpio continues to hit in the Florida State League. Carpio went 2-4 with an RBI, his 12th of the season.

In his last 10 games, the infielder is hitting 13-35, .371/ .389 with a .817 OPS. In 29 games, Carpio is hitting .333/ .404/ .414/ .818 with 2 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run, 10 runs scored and 12 RBI’s.

The Caracas, Venezuela native will probably see time with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies if he continues this current tear he’s on. The 21 year old is ranked as the Mets 29th best prospect on MLB.com and is projected to potentially see MLB time in 2020.
