Newly signed infielder Jed Lowrie now has a Grade 1 hamstring strain, setting back his Mets debut. It was believed that the Mets could possibly get him during this National series however, now that won’t be possible.
Lowrie signed a two year deal with the Mets that’s worth $20M and was slated to be the team’s starting 3rd baseman. Todd Frazier and J.D. Davis have been filling in, with Davis now poised to potentially take over the job in the near future.
