Takeaways from Thursday’s game vs Reds

Noah Syndergaard absolutely blasted a home run to the opposite field, the home run put the Mets on the scoreboard first, giving the Mets the 1-0 lead. Syndergaard is definitely the story of Thursday by pitching a complete game shutout, giving up only 4 hits and just 1 walk while striking out 10. Syndergaard is now 2-3 with a 5.02 ERA.

Wilson Ramos lined into the gap with a double, his 3rd double and 4th extra base-hit of the season. The Buffalo is batting just .247 but continues to make good contact.

On a day where pitching has been the theme, Robinson Canó managed to single and raise his average to .271.

The Mets will send Steven Matz (3-1, 3.68 ERA) to he mound in Milwaukee against the Brewers. The Brewers have yet to officially list a starter for the first game of the series.
