Canó has a target on his back… or hands.

Gio Gonzalez hit Robinson Canó on his left hand in the first inning of Sunday’s contest against the Brewers. Once again, the umpire called it as a strike while Canó was lifted from the game for pinch hitter Juan Lagares.

Canó was just hit on the right hand last week against the Cardinals in St. Louis. Canó was starting to turn things around as he raised his batting average to .270 before exiting the game.

Initial X-Ray’s have come back negative but the Mets will due further testing tomorrow when the swelling subdues.
