After suffering a loss to the Phillies, Mets starting pitcher Jason Vargas was asked if he felt like getting into a regular routine is helpful rounding into form and Vargas has this to say, “Well, I think that it’s apart of how the schedule’s played out. You know, it’s definitely nice to pitch on a more regular basis than not… We’ve definitely had some more success these last couple time out, and making the pitches we want, so it’s definitely moving in that direction.”

Although he hasn’t gotten through 5 innings, he’s looked a lot better in his last two starts. Even struck out Vargas twice tonight. He’s a guy that when he’s healthy and has a good routine going, he’ll be a serviceable #5 pitcher. LGM.
