Review of Mets prospects

By Jacob Yohe

Several Mets Prospects have gotten off to good starts Ryley Gilliam has eight strikeouts in five innings pitched. Anthony Kay has pitched well in 8.1 innings pitched, he tossed 3.2 innings of shutout ball with three walks and four strikeouts. Kay has not allowed a run while striking out 8 in his first two starts. Desmond Lindsay is six for ten with four RBI and five walks in last three games. Quinn Brodey is slashing .387l.417/.484 in his first 8 games with thirty six plate appearances.

Five Prospects to watch out for are Gimenez who has gotten off to a slow start. David Peterson, Tony Dibrell, Eric Hanhold and Daniel Zamora. Those are Prospects that could eventually help us be successful in Bullpen and Gimenez could turn into a good trade piece. Mets have a new top Catcher prospect in Francisco Alvarez hopefully he turns out to be the future at Catcher.

Mets have several Shortstops down in the minors those players could be great trade pieces for help for the team. As for right now anything can happen with players during the season but we have a ton of prospects with a ton of upside. I look forward to seeing what each and every one of them can do this season to improve and eventually help the big league club.
