Per Michael Mayer…

Alonso is also currently tied for 7th in home runs and 20th for batting average, and is in 9th place for RBI’s in the entire MLB.

Alonso’s six home runs in his first 12 games are tied for the fourth most in Major League Baseball history. His 17 RBI’s are tied for the fourth most since the RBI became an official statistic in 1920.

His 12 extra base hits in his first 12 games are the most since 1900.
