Andy Martino of SNY.tv is reporting that the Mets have signed Carlos Gomez to a minor-league deal. The Mets traded away Gomez along with right handed pitcher Philip Humber to the Minnesota Twins for elite lefty Johan Santana prior to the 2008 season.
