Bryce Harper turned down a contract offer from the worth up north of $300M. Jim Bowden of “The Athletic” reported that the offer was for much more than $300M over the next ten seasons.
In November of 2018, rumors started to surface that he also turned down a $300M offer before the season had come to an end. However, Harper is still negotiating with D.C. and a return could very well be a realistic scenario.
Harper had a slash of .249/ .393/ .496 while launching 34 home runs, 34 doubles, and 100 R.B.I.’s in his 2018 campaign, playing 159 games.
… and he wants more than $400M, hmmmm??
Unfortunately, there will be one owner out there willing to overspend on the All Star and former MVP, that’s all it takes, just one owner willing to spend and give into his demands.
But back to my original point, hahahaha, Nationals.
