The Mets have been in touch with Cashman and the Yankees ever since BVW has taken over the General Manager duties. While it hurts to even speculate trading Syndergaard to the Yankees, I would like to believe that this deal will not involve him. However, there have been conflicting reports.

Reports are now indicating that Amed Rosario’s name is being tossed around in the deal.

Andy Martino of SNY is also reporting that the Yankees are heavily engaged in discussions to get the right handed phenom and a deal may never come to fruition if he isn’t involved.

Rosenthal of “The Athletic” is indicating that the Marlins would be involved in the trade as a third piece to the puzzle.
